Driving for the First Time

My Husband Lex was my mentor .. He allowed me to familiarized and feel comfortable with the vehicle. Sit in the driver's seat and learn in particular

Find all of the basic controls, such as the windshield wiper function, the lights, seatbelts, blinker, and pedals.

First, i slide the seat forward and backward so that i can reach the pedals with the correct feet.Buckle myself in, and make sure it isn't too high on my neck.I tilt the mirror so i can see clearly out the back windshield.

I Go over stopping procedure, turning procedure, and shifting gears. My mentor husband Lex make sure that i am familiar with all of the basic controls/levers/switches and their locations. I really wanted to learn what my mentor husband is imparting me, so one thing i have in mine was all these:

Eliminate distractions. Make sure you're driving with a person you can trust and rely on, and kick everyone else out of the car. You don't need to have an audience when you're learning. Leave the radio off - or play classical music quietly. Make sure you're well hydrated and that you've used the restroom before you get into the car.

Remember that driving should be fun, once you get the hang of it. Don't treat the vehicle like an enemy - it will get you wherever you want to go, if you know how.

Tips

* If you have a scent you really like, try spraying it or scenting the vehicle with it. Familiarity provides comfort.

* Learn from someone you know well, and try to pick someone who isn't jumpy and doesn't yell.

* Make sure the vehicle's windows and lights are all clean, to improve visibility. That way you know you can see what's out there!
